Changing medical diagnostics
We believe that faster and more accessible diagnostics will provide more comprehensive medical information. As a result, people will be given an opportunity to enjoy a longer and healthier life.

Scope Fluidics develops innovative projects in the field of diagnostics and health care. Scope Fluidics was established in 2010 in the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences with the aim of creating solutions for medicine based on microfluidic technologies. The company cooperates with the academia, and integrates the points of view of medicine and business to develop innovative solutions with a high market potential. Since 2017, Scope Fluidics S.A. has been listed on the NewConnect market. The company's business model provides for the development and business verification of a project, followed by the establishment of a special purpose vehicle within which the entire project is developed.
Currently, the Scope Fluidics Group consists of two SPVs: Curiosity Diagnostics Sp. z o.o. and Bacteromic Sp. z o.o., established in order to develop their respective projects.
The organisation as a whole creates an energetic, stimulating environment in which social needs and specific market requirements are satisfied with effective solutions. The source of these innovative ideas is the cooperation of physicians, medical personnel, project managers, engineers and scientists.
Scope Fluidics founded Curiosity Diagnostics to create the PCR|ONE system that delivers the fastest bacterial and viral pathogen detection in the world.
This fully automated procedure identifies up to 20 distinct pathogens and drug-resistant genes.
The emergence and rapid spread of drug resistance among bacteria constitutes a major threat to public health worldwide. In the absence of new antibiotics, better diagnostics is the only solution. We are now developing an automated culturing system delivering the most comprehensive information on bacterial susceptibility to all known antibiotics and on the resistance mechanisms.
Between 2011 and 2014 we developed a prototype of a vitro diagnostic system performing multiple biochemistry assays from a single droplet of finger prick blood.
The system comprises Scope’s proprietary, disposable microfluidic devices: for the collection of micro-samples of blood and a cartridge with multiple reagents for the assay panel. In order to validate the system, we constructed a pilot production line for manufacturing of disposable cartridges.
The system assays several parameters in less than twenty minutes from sample collection and is now being introduced to production by our Client.
We are always open to hear about real-life problems in medicine, especially if they are caused by the lack of or by hampered access to medical information or diagnostics. If you are a practitioner and see a potential idea for more effective treatment through better diagnostics we will be more than eager to hear from you.
If you have an idea for a solution for a real-life challenge in medicine or diagnostics and you would like to turn it into a product, we may be able to help with our experience and with our technical, legal and patent resources.
We accept orders for efficient development of diagnostic systems, starting from the very idea of a product. We also help with the development or optimization of existing solutions.
We cherish talent and passion for engineering. If you love solving technical problems – please contact us, we might be hiring!
We offer attractive asset returns for our stakeholders. We create value through developing diagnostic systems that target the most important challenges in human healthcare today.
Scope Fluidics provides access to laboratories and workshops for developed projects as well as necessary administrative facilities and services, including financing.
We combine the academic impetus to create and innovate with expert engineering and performance-driven discipline. We are highly effective and quick to create solutions and to prototype electronic, optical and mechanical devices and microfluidic systems. In our facilities, we use both precision machining and injection molding. With our know-how and a strong network of contacts, we also support smooth transition of innovative diagnostic systems into production.
We have broad experience in building portfolios of intellectual property rights, which includes drafting patent applications for inventions developed with Scope Fluidics, carrying out the proceedings before patent offices in cooperation with patent attorneys, identification of innovative solutions and assessment of their patentability through prior art and FTO searches.
We have an extensive network of clinical consultants in Poland and around the world. If you want to learn more and share your clinical expertise, do not hesitate to contact us.
