Bacteromic, a subsidiary of the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed Scope Fluidics Group, has secured a new location where a semi-automated production line for BACTEROMIC system panels is planned to be installed and launched. The line should achieve production readiness with a capacity of approximately 350,000 panels annually within several months, but no later than in the first half of 2027.
“The planned launch of the new production line represents an important step in building the value of our flagship BACTEROMIC project – a rapid, comprehensive and automated system for testing the antibiotic susceptibility of infection-causing bacteria. We are currently continuing work on automation and preparing the line for installation. Once launched, it will enable us to achieve production readiness at a level of approximately 350,000 panels annually, with the possibility of further increasing its capacity. We are taking steps to launch the line within several months, but no later than in the first half of next year,” says Piotr Garstecki, CEO of Scope Fluidics.
“At the same time, it is worth noting that Bacteromic currently has its own production capacity of approximately 100,000 panels annually, which covers our needs related to research and development work, certification processes and the fulfillment of initial commercial orders,” the CEO adds.
The launch of the production line at the new location will increase Bacteromic’s production capacity by approximately 350,000 panels annually. However, should its business needs increase, the company will be able to expand the line’s capacity to 750,000 panels annually within a further several months.
