Scope Fluidics S.A. is a biotechnology company engaged in designing and developing innovative projects based on microfluidic technologies in medical diagnostics and healthcare. Scope Fluidics owns a special-purpose vehicle, Bacteromic Sp. z o.o., established to develop the BacterOMIC system, an innovative diagnostic device designed to assess the drug susceptibility of microorganisms. As part of Curiosity Diagnostics Sp. z o.o., a company whose shares were acquired by Bio-Rad in August 2022, Scope Fluidics has developed the PCR|ONE system for rapid diagnosis of diseases caused by bacterial and viral agents.
The structure of Scope Fluidics is the result of the company’s business concept and operating model, which envisages as follows: devising an innovative project, developing it within the scope of a special-purpose vehicle, and then selling it to a global entity. The innovative products developed as part of Scope Fluidics address important societal needs, such as fast, effective, and accessible medical diagnostics, improving the quality of treatment, and reducing the time and cost of potential hospitalisation.

The increasing resistance of microbes to drugs is one of the most serious health threats in the world. Scope Fluidics responds to this challenge with an innovative system that allows you to gain full knowledge about the resistance mechanisms and the sensitivity of bacteria to all available antibiotics. The results of this study allow for the implementation of effective therapy in patients, reduction of complications after infections and reduction of treatment and hospitalization costs.
BacterOMIC takes antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) to the next level by offering quantification of all clinically relevant antibiotics and the identification of synergistic antibiotic pairs.
