Bacteromic, a subsidiary of the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed Scope Fluidics Group, has signed a framework distribution agreement with the Austrian company Biomedica Medizinprodukte GmbH, which operates in 13 European countries. The agreement covers the promotion, evaluation, and distribution of the BACTEROMIC system in 10 markets.

“Signing a distribution agreement covering 10 European countries marks another extremely important step toward building the international position of the BACTEROMIC system. Cooperation with a partner with such extensive experience in selling and promoting innovative medical technologies will allow us to effectively leverage the region’s potential and reach a broad group of end users. We are confident that this agreement will create a solid foundation for the further development of the project and increase the attractiveness of Bacteromic for a potential M&A transaction,” says Piotr Garstecki, CEO of Scope Fluidics.

Under the agreement, Biomedica will purchase BACTEROMIC systems and diagnostic panels from Bacteromic and will be responsible for their promotion, evaluation, and distribution in ten European countries where Biomedica operates and which are not covered by the two distribution agreements signed by Bacteromic in January of this year.

The two-year agreement provides that Biomedica will operate on an exclusive basis, on the terms set out in the agreement. The obligation to register the BACTEROMIC system in accordance with local regulations rests with the distributor. The next step will be the sale and distribution of the system and diagnostic panels to diagnostic laboratories in the private and public sectors.

Biomedica Medizinprodukte GmbH is a distributor of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, life science products, and clinical IT solutions for the healthcare sector, and has been active in the market for nearly 50 years. Headquartered in Vienna, the company operates in 13 countries, including Austria, Switzerland, and countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and employs a team of 300 specialists. Biomedica acts as a partner connecting global suppliers of advanced technologies for healthcare, science, and industry with customers who have specific local needs and requirements.

The agreement with Biomedica is the third distribution agreement signed by Bacteromic in 2026. In January, agreements were signed with the Turkish company Mefamed and the Romanian company SC ELTA 90 Medical Research SRL (ELTA MR).
