Bacteromic, a subsidiary of the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed Scope Fluidics Group, has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a method and system for predicting microorganism growth using artificial intelligence. The patent gives the company the exclusive right to commercially use, in the United States, the methods covered by the patent for predicting the growth or growth inhibition of microorganisms in phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility testing, as well as systems for the rapid determination of antibiotic susceptibility.

Obtaining another patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office is an important step in the continued development of the BACTEROMIC system. Patent protection for these methods and systems is already in force in fourteen countries that are parties to the European Patent Convention. At the same time, Bacteromic continues its efforts to obtain a patent for these solutions in China.
