Hybolic signs PARP funding agreement to develop a system for measuring insulin and glucose concentrations

28-09-2026

Hybolic sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed Scope Fluidics Group, has signed an agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) providing funding of up to PLN 14.4 million for the HYBOLIC system, which is intended to measure insulin and glucose concentrations for personalized treatment of metabolic diseases.

“Obtaining funding for HYBOLIC at such an early stage of development is an important signal for us, confirming the potential of this project. The system being developed by Hybolic is intended to enable measurement of insulin and glucose concentrations, which in the future may be used in more personalized management of treatment for metabolic diseases. It is an ambitious project at the intersection of diagnostics, biosensor technologies, and personalized medicine,” says Piotr Garstecki, president of the management board of Scope Fluidics.

The HYBOLIC project focuses on developing a hybrid biosensor system for monitoring insulin and glucose concentrations in interstitial fluid. The technology being developed under the project is intended to offer high stability, specificity, and reusability compared with traditional enzymatic biosensors. As planned, the system will integrate advanced biosensors with artificial intelligence algorithms, enabling real-time personalization of treatment for type 1 and type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, as well as optimization of therapeutic strategies. The system is intended to be a comprehensive tool for managing treatment in outpatient settings and to support the development of diagnostics and treatment of metabolic diseases. The project envisages the development of a wearable device, and the team intends for the system to enable simultaneous measurement of glucose and insulin. The total project costs reported in the funding application amount to PLN 24.1 million.

The funding of PLN 14.4 million will be disbursed in installments, in line with the project schedule, provided that Hybolic achieves the objectives set out in the agreement with PARP. At the same time, given that almost 15 months have passed since the funding application was submitted, Hybolic will ask PARP to approve an update to the project schedule.
